Pastored by Reverend Rodney Baker and his wife Stephanie, Abundant Life is a place where everyone is welcome. No matter your age, gender, race, culture, or ethnicity, you belong here. Abundant Life's foundation is built on John 10:10, which says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

meet the team

Pastor Rodney &
stephanie Baker
Pastor Rodney Baker is originally from West Tennessee but was transferred to Meridian during his six years of service with the United States Navy. In 1990, he received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and felt his call into the ministry, which lead him to remain in the Meridian area. He has studied business at Meridian Community College and Mississippi State University. He has had the honor of serving as Section Seven Secretary of the Mississippi District, and currently serves on the Mississippi District Board of the United Pentecostal Church. He and his wife Stephanie have been blessed with three daughters, two sons-in law, and three grandchildren. Stephanie, of Laurel, Mississippi, received her B. S. in accounting from Mississippi State. Rodney and Stephanie were officially elected pastor in May of 2020. Together, they have served in many forms of ministry and continue to fill in the gaps where they are needed.

kemper harrell
Bryce and Kemper Harrell serve as youth pastor of Destined Student Ministry. Bryce is originally from Morton, Mississippi but moved to Meridian in January of 2018. Kemper has been a part of Abundant Life Tabernacle from birth. Bryce and Kemper enjoy serving their local church, as well as, their community. Bryce has his general minister's license with the United Pentecostal Church International and currently serves as the Section 7 youth director. Kemper enjoys serving in the music department, decorating for events, and helping with media and graphics. They have a beautiful baby girl Darcy Jewelene. Both Bryce and Kemper are passionate about serving in whatever area God calls them to.

jordan stokley
Matthew and Jordan Stokley serve as Sunday school director of Kidz Life children's ministry. Matthew has been a member of Abundant Life since April of 2012, and Jordan moved to Meridian upon marrying Matthew in February of 2018. They have two precious daughters Lily Grace Stokley and Anna Kate. Matthew has served as the Section 7 youth director and has his general minister's license with the United Pentecostal Church International. Jordan and Matthew enjoy serving in the music department, along with various other ministries, including visiting local nursing homes. These two are devoted to investing in the children of our community and desire to see growth in our children's ministry. The Stokleys love traveling and spending time with their friends and family.
